DESCRIPTION
Sutton Park is a fine example of early Georgian architecture and the award winning gardens won the Silver Gilt Award in Yorkshire in Bloom 2008. It has wonderful and romantc gardens which are open to the public, indeed many weddings are held here! Has beautiful terraces, an exotic bamboo garden, Edwardian fernerywhch overlooks parkland whilst bordered by a mainly broadleaved woodland walk.
In late spring, the blue bulbs add to the attraction and from the woodland walk you can enter he garden under a tunel of yellow provided by the Laburnam Walk throuh.
As the seasons progress into summer, old fashioned roses ad te herbacous borders bust into colour. Other highlights include a fine old Ice House ad magnificent spcimen trees - an Autrian Pine being one of many to quote.
Open April to September. Daily 11.00am - 5.00pm. Has a shop, plant sales stall and award wlling tearoom.
Disabled access with wheelchair loan - booking required. Toilets and Coach parking
